IEA IETS Swedish Seminar on New Development of Separation Technologies in Process Industry
Time: Thursday 17 October, 2019, 13.00-16.45
Venue: Rosenlundsgatan 9, Stockholm (the Swedish Energy Agency Stockholm office)
This seminar is arranged by the Swedish Energy Agency as a part of the Swedish involvement in the International Energy Agency, Industrial Energy-Related Technologies and Systems (IEA, IETS). An international collaboration in the area of separation technologies is ongoing within IETS, with Lund University as leader. Separation technologies consume more energy in most process industries than any other type of technology. Important examples are membrane technology, evaporation, drying, distillation, adsorption/desorption and filtration. Developments towards more efficient such processes are one of the keys towards a more sustainable process industry. This is true both for traditional industry types and e. g. biorefineries, in which different dewatering technologies are of high importance. There is an ongoing interesting development in several of these technologies, both in Sweden and internationally. Some important developments will be presented and discussed at the seminar. Target groups for the seminar are representatives from industry, universities, institutes and regional and governmental authorities. The aims of the seminar are to increase the knowledge in Sweden in this area, to create a network in Sweden and discuss the Swedish contribution in the international collaboration as well as to discuss need for further work.
If you are interested to participate, please send a mail to email@example.com, by Friday 4 October 2019.
There is no fee for the seminar. A full programme will be distributed shortly.
